In order to determine if you're a candidate for Invisalign, you will need to schedule a consultation. Many adults are able to wear Invisalign, but general dental issues, such as gum issues, can affect orthodontic treatment.
Invisalign is a great alternative to braces that is virtually undetectable. Many teenagers and adults prefer clear aligners over traditional braces since they're a more aesthetically appealing option.
There are additional measure that Invisalign patients must take to care for their clear aligners that you wouldn't have to worry about with braces. This includes avoiding drinking anything but water with your trays in your mouth. You'll want to remove your Invisalign trays before drinking any colored liquids or it will stain your trays and your teeth will not look white. You also need to remove your trays any time you are eating. Be careful to not fold your trays into a napkin and put them directly in their case to prevent accidently throwing your Invisalign trays away.
Jim Petras will work with your dentist as your dental history is a critical component of planning your orthodontic treatment.
